Lavender lovin'

Hey lovelies hope you're all keeping well and enjoying your weekend. Mine is being spent in bed because I am sick as a dog all week. Really feels like a waste of a weekend but I suppose what can you do if your sick. I did go out for dinner with the girls last night though so not a complete waste of a weekend. Also on Friday I went for hot chocolate with my friend Jen and we took some outfit pics for both our blogs.

Sorry if the lighting is a bit off on these pictures it was that time of day where it doesn't know if its bright or dark lol.

OUTFIT DETAILS

Coat - Primark
Sheer shirt - Nine Crows
Knitted Top - Primark
Culottes - Penneys
Backpack - Penneys
Boots - Dr Martens
Pom pom key ring - Primark
Pom pom earrings - Made by me. Available on my depop @sophiac

As you can tell from the pictures it was quite windy so trying to get picture without my shirt up around my head was quite the job lol. I absolutely love this shirt of course because its my favourite colour but also its sheer and vintage so it ticks every box for me. If like me you love a good sheer shirt go and check out nine crows selection seriously its unreal thats where I've gotten all mine from. If you didn't see the rainbow coloured one I got check it out here.

I'm in love with this backpack seriously its so cute and small looks bigger than it is in this picture. I added the lavender pom pom for extra cuteness.

I got this knitted vest top last year in Primark in Liverpool but we have them in penneys now not in this colour but other colours and a bit longer than mine check them out there so nice for dressing up the simplest of outfits rather than just your average tshirt vest top.

Jen will be posting her outfit from this day over on her blog as well so be sure to go check that out here is her link http://vintageblackrags.blogspot.ie/?m=1 she got hella good style you goin' love it believe me.

As always ladies and gents thanks for reading and any questions pop them below or hit me up on instagram @my_wardrobe_adventures. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday I was going to record a penneys haul for my youtube today but I don't really have a voice at the minute so it will have to be done during the week. Any other videos you would like me to do?

Double denim dreamin

So yesterday I decided to take full advantage of the fact my friend Kayleigh was staying over and asked her to take some blog pictures. I spent some time putting outfits together and getting ready. Of course by the time I went outside to start taking pictures it started to rain typical Ireland. So I had to improvise and just take them in doors.

Make up:
Foundation - Topshop BB Cream
Blusher - Sleek in rose gold
Highlighting - Sleek precious metals palette and Sunkissed highlighter stick
Eyes - Amber lights and naked palettes darkhorse.
Lips - M.A.C velvet teddy
Eyebrows - Sleek brow kit in dark.

Outfit Details;

Hat - Forever 21
Denim Duster - Penneys / Primark
Denim Crop - Loving Youth
Culottes - Penneys / Primark
Lace up shoes - Penneys / Primark

This look I feel could be worn anywhere it's one of those looks that could go from day to night. For those days you just plan on going shopping with the girls and end up in the pub for the evening lol.

If hats aren't your thing the outfit still looks good without it. I personally just love a hat and think it's the perfect finishing touch.

A flat black boot would also work if you wanted something a bit more comfy I put my docs on with it after these pics and they worked just as well.

I shot a couple of different looks yesterday so check back in a couple of days to see the rest.

As always any questions or suggestions on something you'd like to see me style or talk bout just comment below. Also check out my instagram for daily posts @sophiacahill or click on the button over om.the right to be brought directly to it.

Hope your enjoying your Sunday and have a fab week.

"All the flowers, would have very extra special powers"

So yesterday I went on a little adventure to the Powerscourt Gardens and to Glendalough. I'd never been to the gardens and they are so pretty. I've always loved flowers from a young age so I was in heaven. Feeling like Alice in wonderland floating through all these pretty gardens.

Here's what I wore I wanted to be a bit dressy so that I could take some pictures but had to be smart with my footwear choice as I knew I would be walking for quite a bit.

Outfit Details:
Leather Jacket- Penneys/Primark €25
Top- Topshop €16
Culottes- Penneys/Primark €24
Adidas holographic superstars- I think aroubd €66 not 100% though.
Backpack- Penneys/Primark €10.

So as you are probably starting to see I am in love with culottes the past while. They are perfect for any occasion and can be styled from day to night so easily. Perfect for the fashionable explorer like myself. The one thing can turn me off going on a hike can be the whole idea of wearing practical clothing as they call it. I believe once you wear practical footwear you can still pull off a nice look and culottes are perfect for this as they're not restricting at all and you get a nice breeze you them lol.

I went with my holographic Adidas for this look because they are comfortable enough for long walks but still nice enough to go with this outfit.

I am loving the whole lace up tops thing that is in at the minute. I fell in love with this little vest one from Topshop which also comes in black to and for €16 its a must have staple really. I'm hoping they get more sizes in in the black so i can get that to.

The beautiful little waterfall in The Japanese gardens was one of my favourite things. The Japanese gardens where definitely my favourite ones kind of knew they would be because of my love for Asia. Such a nice place to go spend the day walking around looking at all the lovely flowers.

Glendalough is another lovely place to visit if you haven't already. It's got two lakes and some really cool old buildings and cemeteries.

Here's me in front of one of the lakes having a blogger fail with the wind blowing my hair all over the place lol. had such a great day though and recommend you to go to both places.

So let me know what you think of these kind of ootd posts. Also comment on anything you would like to see me blog on or style below. If you haven't already check out my new header I done it today quite proud of how it turned out what do you think?
